Terms and Conditions of sales are important because they create certainty between all parties. They detail the responsibilities of ourselves ‘the seller’ you, ‘the buyer' and "the installer" for the installation service. Our terms and conditions comply with existing legislation including the Sales of Good Act 1979 (as amended), the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (as amended), if applicable and any legislation relating to restrictive trade practices. For all business transactions, terms are accepted by the buyer on the placement of the order. ‘We’ or ‘Us’ denotes Sonia A Ltd T/as Rolling Door Concepts either together or alone, with you, as the context dictates. You, the customer or the purchaser denotes the person ordering the goods to these terms and conditions. Together with the completed online order form, these terms and conditions constitute the entire and only agreement between Rolling Door Concepts and the customer. Our acceptance of your order through the fabrication of the ordered goods constitutes a legally binding contract between us on these terms and conditions.
All orders are accepted only on the precise information detailed within the online order submitted and agreed by the buyer. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that all of the details as shown on our website and detailed on the online order are accurate and reflect the buyer’s requirements. We cannot accept any responsibility for any aspect of the garage door order that is incorrectly specified or ordered, or any responsibility for any additional components that are not clearly requested, together with any agreed extra cost. Anything that is not clearly specified or detailed within the online order does not form part of the order as accepted by ourselves. We cannot accept any responsibility for any order that is incorrectly ordered, nor can we accept returns or restock an item. Please ensure when submitting your order, you are fully aware of the garage door you have ordered in the correct colours with desired package and control systems.
Payments due for goods and services are shown on the online order form. Once an order is placed, an invoice confirming costs will be received by email for the project from our accounts department. All prices shown include VAT. The full balance for all single sized 55mm garage doors ordered is due in full by means of bank transfer payment at the point of purchase. Bank Transfer should be made to the bank account details on the invoice supplied by email once an order is submitted. We cannot accept card payments over the phone. You must pay the installation fee of £150.00 direct to your roller door installer for his service which is a separate payment to the garage door as shown in the price summary on your invoice. This must be in cleared funds by means of cash or bank transfer only, installers do not accept card payments.
You have a 7-Day cooling off period in which you can cancel this agreement for 55mm single door products only. We only accept cancellation by email and this should be sent to the following address: [email protected] If you have requested an express service then you remove your right to cancel as works on your order have to begin immediately and your door must be installed within 7 working days. If for any reason our door system cannot physically be fitted to your property a full refund of the door balance will be provided. 77mm door products are bespoke to a customers' exact requirements and not stocked by RDC. All 77mm doors are bespoke and imported from Europe, therefore no refunds are available for 77mm door products ordered.
DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION
Delivery and Installation throughout mainland England, Scotland and Wales are included in the quoted price. Installation is 3-8 weeks from order unless you have opted for an express service in which case we will install within 7 working days. We will contact you by email to arrange an installation date for your garage door. Please note that we cannot accept any consequential liability whatsoever; should we be unable to install your order for any reason at any given time. We will not compensative from the agreed contract price for any additional visits required to complete the installation. Please note our working days are from strictly Monday to Friday. In order to reschedule an alternative install date, please email [email protected] We require a 48 Working Hour notice for the rescheduling of an installation appointment.
All our Roller Garage Doors include a warranty of 12 months, free of charge, covering ALL defective components. All parts and labour are included, excluding handset batteries. You are not covered under this warranty for accidental damage or vandalism. Rolling Garage Doors by nature of their rolling operation, compressing aluminium upon aluminium can produce roll marks, and sometimes minor scratches which is a natural occurrence over any period of time. Roll marks may also appear in and around the side channels. These are not defects and will not interfere with the normal operation of the door, nor compromise the life or deterioration of the door. All Rolling Garage Door curtains are formed from a double skinned insulated aluminium, and as such, will not, and cannot, rust. Therefore, roller door slats are not a valid claim under the warranty for roll marks, scuffs, scratches or dents unless identified on the initial day of installation. To claim under the warranty, you must contact our warranty department through our dedicated aftercare website bdrw.co.uk. The warranty department will determine whether or not the problem is a valid warranty claim. Should the problem be covered under the terms and conditions of the warranty, they will either repair or replace the product.
Rolling Door Concepts provide you with a high quality remote controlled rolling garage door system which is paid for directly to Rolling Door Concepts. Within this contract Rolling Door Concepts also "arrange only" a trained self-employed installer. The arranged installer will carry out the full installation of the Rolling Door Concepts door and their installation service will be paid for directly to themselves from the client. All installers carry their own public liability insurance. Any issues that arise regarding an installation aspect of the door are to be resolved between the installer and the client. Rolling Door Concepts will always provide assistance if required for any installation issue but will not and cannot accept any financial liability for anything that is resulting from installation. The installation service is paid for directly to the self-employed installers. Installers will provide a full receipt including their details on completion.
All self-employed installers work within the following site terms. Installers cannot agree to undertake any works involving moving or relocating any existing electrical, gas or water components, wires, mains, fuse-boards, meters. All doors are supplied on a lead and can be plugged into a 13amp socket which should be located within 6 meters of cable of the remote control board. It is the buyers' responsibility should they wish to arrange a permanent electrical supply to be installed by a qualified electrician from the control unit to a fused spur or mains unit. Installers will not wire directly into a main fuse-board or fuse spur. If an installer is requested to remove your existing frame, every effort will be made to undertake this without causing any damage to brickwork or render. However, in any event, that damage is caused, they will not be responsible for any “Making Good” or repair work and can accept no liability for any costs or damages caused, whatsoever. It is the buyers' responsibility to disengage and remove any existing alarm system that may be fitted to their existing garage door, prior to installation. Installers will not be responsible for removing or refitting any alarm system/s, nor will be liable in any way for any damage to any existing alarm system/s, however, caused. The area in proximity to the position of the installation of the new garage door must be cleared to within seven feet, in both directions. Driveways must be kept clear to afford reasonable access. Installers cannot accept any liability whatsoever, for any damage to any property left within seven feet of the garage opening or for any damage caused to any vehicles left on the driveway during or throughout the course of the installation of the garage door. Rolling Garage Doors are designed to sit neatly onto a level floor surface. We are not responsible for any gaps that may be evident upon installation onto an uneven surface. It is the buyers’ responsibility to ensure the floor level is even, or it is the buyers’ responsibility to carry out any required subsequent work to level the floor thereafter. No liability or costs whatsoever are the responsibility of installers pertaining to the floor level of your garage door opening. Upon completion, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure electrical appliances/fridges/freezers have not been unplugged during the process of installation.
RDC Doors are fitted with a small bottom rubber seal on the last slat of every door. Whilst these will help reduce debris entering under the door, we cannot be held responsible if the door doesn't sit flush against the floor due to uneven floor surface. If you are looking to prevent water ingress we recommend you consider an extra seal to be purchased directly from one of the suppliers detailed on our products page. If your area is prone to wind challenges, we also recommend Brush Strips to help with the reduction of rattling due to high winds.
Cladding may be required if the position of the door is changed from the original position of the old door. This helps to tidy and better the piers of the final appearance. This is usually determined once the installation is completed.
Please Note: Cladding does not form part of the garage door order and if required, is charged at £40 per piece white and £60 per piece any other colour
Rolling Door Concepts will not be liable to the customer or be deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of delay delivering any product if such delay or failure was due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of Rolling Door Concepts including (but not limited to) an Act of God, explosion, flood, industrial disputes, difficulties in obtaining materials or labour, power failure or machinery breakdown.
